“You’ve Asked Four to Five Questions in One”: Shubman Gill’s Light-Hearted Response to a Confusing Query at Press Conference
Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill recently showcased his wit during a pre-season press conference for IPL 2025. Accompanied by head coach Ashish Nehra, assistant coach Parthiv Patel, director of cricket Vikram Solanki, and COO Colonel Arvinder Singh, Gill addressed various media queries.
As the session neared its end, a journalist attempted to maximize the opportunity by posing multiple questions simultaneously. Gill, maintaining his composure and humor, remarked with a smile:
“Chaar paanch question aap ne ek hi question me puch liye.”
This translates to, “You’ve asked four to five questions in one.” The room erupted in laughter, and coach Ashish Nehra added to the light-hearted moment by saying:
“Me ye hi baat soch raha tha. Thank God you didn’t ask me.”
(“I was thinking the same. Thank God you didn’t ask me.”)
Addressing the question about the lessons learned from his first year as captain in IPL 2024, Gill reflected:
“Speaking about lessons, I learned a lot of new things in my first year as the captain. I think the most interesting and challenging thing about captaincy is that every day you learn something new about the players and about yourself.”
When asked about any special strategies for the upcoming season, Gill confidently stated:
“I don’t think anything special, sir. I think if you look at the records, we are the team with the most wins and the highest percentage of wins. I don’t think we have to do anything different. Over the last 3 years, we have played consistent cricket, and the results speak for themselves.”
Gill’s responses highlight his leadership qualities and the camaraderie within the Gujarat Titans camp as they gear up for another competitive IPL season.
